OUR STORY
Purpose born from lived experience
Inspired by La-Trenda’s journey as a triple-negative breast cancer survivor and her many years of community service, the Foundation was created to address disparities in access to care, education, support, and potentially life-saving resources—particularly within underserved and underinsured communities.
After an aggressive breast cancer diagnosis in December 2024, La-Trenda gained a deeper understanding of the financial, emotional, physical, and practical challenges patients and survivors may face during treatment and recovery. She transformed that experience into purpose-driven action.
The foundation is committed to ensuring that every individual and family affected by breast cancer feels seen, heard, valued, and supported throughout their journey.
Our mission
The mission of The R.E.L.L.E. Legacy Foundation is to provide compassionate support, education, wellness resources, advocacy, and direct financial assistance to individuals and families impacted by breast cancer. We support patients, survivors, caregivers, and their families by helping with essential needs such as medical co-pays, prescriptions, transportation, child and dependent care, utilities, housing, and groceries. We are committed to reducing health disparities, supporting underserved and underinsured communities, and ensuring that no one faces breast cancer alone.

Meet La-Trenda Ross
La-Trenda has worked in social services for more than three decades, supporting individuals and families, connecting underserved communities with essential resources, and advocating for programs rooted in compassion, dignity, access, and equity.
She is a Personal Life Coach and Founder of Trending Into A New Life, helping people build confidence, discover purpose, set meaningful goals, and create positive change.
As a New Jersey Community Ambassador for NOWINCLUDED, she connects communities with trusted health education, supportive resources, and opportunities to participate in clinical research while advocating for health equity.
Her journey is featured in Back to Normal: A Cancer Survivor Documentary, directed by Edward Miskie. She has also shared her story through blogs, online magazines, podcasts, community platforms, and public speaking, raising awareness, inspiring hope, and encouraging self-advocacy.
